‘What do you think?’ asked the realtor.
‘I like it, but I can’t make a decision without my husband. He’s on a business trip.’
‘When will he be back?’
‘Next week, but only for two days. He’s often away. What’s that?’
‘The plough comes with the cabin,’ said the realtor. ‘You’ll need it in the winter, otherwise you could find yourself snowed in for days.’
Days of my husband staying home, toasting marshmallows on the open fire, making love on the sheepskin rug. Time to fall in love all over again.
‘We’ll take the cabin but we won’t be needing the plough.’

Good decision! Sometimes one must go out on a limb.

a courageous move. Let’s hope her husband doesn’t decide to buy a generator…just in case. Sitting in front of a roaring fire, reading a book, toasting marshmallows…bliss!
Ah I hadn’t thought of that Lyn!
Snow work today! Love the title and the tale. She’s got her priorities right. Well told.

Just keep him pregnant in the summer and barefoot in the winter. That’s all he needs. 😀
Nice job, Louise!
Tee hee. It certainly is!
I love that she loves her husband this much.
Lets home she still feels that way after being shut in with him for weeks!
Well if not I have a feeling the plow will still be available, although the price might have gone up.
Loved this!
Although it also has shades of The Shining too — could be GREAT fun to be snowed in …. or it could be a disaster!
But … I digress. A wonderful write. 🙂
Here’s Johnny! Thanks.
Hope he’s in the same frame of mind that she is. A charming story nonetheless.
Thanks Perry. He needs some down time.
